Following on from the PFA Team of the Year reveal, the Premier League have announced a new individual award up for grabs at the end of the season.
We've had the Golden Gloves and Golden Boot awards established for years now but it's been confirmed that the player who registers the most assists in a single season will receive the 'Premier League Playmaker of the Season' award.
At present, it would be fair to say that the award, in partnership with Cadbury, will be going to a Manchester City player.
Pep Guardiola's title-winners have topped the assist charts all season, with PFA Player of the Year nominee Kevin De Bruyne currently leading the way on 15.
The Belgian was the league's chief playmaker last year when he set up 18 goals and will be looking to better that tally in the remaining five games of this season - though this time he will have a trophy to show for his efforts.
De Bruyne's City colleagues Leroy Sane and David Silva are behind him on 12 and 11 respectively, while Spurs' Dele Alli has 10 to his name.

City's No.17 needs six assists in the rest of the campaign to overtake Thierry Henry's Premier League assist record of 20, achieved in the 2002/03 season.
The Arsenal legend was primarily known for his goals but says he actually enjoyed assisting more than scoring, and is therefore pleased that this accolade has been introduced.
"It's amazing that Cadbury and the Premier League are celebrating playmakers in this way - I personally enjoyed providing assists more than scoring," he told the Premier League's official website.

"Being able to provide those moments for your team-mates brings great joy and I'm sure this award will inspire many more in the future to create great chances and even greater goals."
