Every Premier League club's highest paid player has been ranked based on their value to the team.

Football Daily have taken a stab at seeing which stars are worth the money they make in regards to what they do on the pitch.

Seven players such as Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish and Leicester City front man Jamie Vardy make the top tier thanks to being true focal points of their team.

But a fair few are in the bottom tier after barely contributing in the top-flight.

Sebastian Haller (West Ham United) - £115,000-per-week

Charlie Austin (West Bromwich Albion) - £70,000-per-week

Phil Jagielka (Sheffield United) - £50,000-per-week

Joelinton (Newcastle United) - £86,000-per-week

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) - £350,000-per-week

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Fulham) - £67,000-per-week

Gareth Bale is included in tier three due to his lack of game time since returning to North London, while Danny Ings is regarded a 'steal' considering his goal record in the last year.

One man who resides in the bottom tier is Mesut Ozil, who wasn't even included in Arsenal's 25-man Premier League squad.

Manager Mikel Arteta said he was 'hurt' by the decision but admitted it's his job to make tough calls.

"I'm hurt because I don't like any player in my squad not to have the possibility to participate, or to compete, for me it is really sad because I don't think anybody deserves that," the Spaniard told beIN SPORTS per Reuters.

"But at the end of the day I'm sitting here to make decisions, to make the decisions that, in my opinion, are the best for the football club. And this is what I have to do.

"The moment that you lose football matches his name is going to come up and when you win, it won't."
