Manchester United are reportedly considering using Edinson Cavani as a makeweight for a key transfer target.

The 34-year-old has started just two games in the Premier League this season following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

And it appears he's wanted by Sevilla, who are weighing up an offer in January to fill the void of the injured Youssef En-Nesyri.

The report claims the Uruguayan has been 'practically ostracised' at Old Trafford ever since the Portuguese superstar returned to the club.

Cavani could be lured by Sevilla who want to make him their main reference in attack.

It's suggested that Man United could listen to offers from Sevilla if they would be willing to include Jules Kounde in a potential deal, according to the Mirror.

The France international, 23, has performed wonders at the back in Spain's top flight - attracting interest from Europe's elite.

The highly-rated defender has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with Chelsea and Real Madrid thought to be keen on signing him.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems hellbent on reinforcing his defence despite shelling out a reported £34 million on Raphael Varane in the summer.

But he's picked up injuries since arriving at Old Trafford, with Harry Maguire also missing matches through injury.

Eric Bailly has also returned to the fold, but it appears Man United want a stronger option than the Ivorian.

Sevilla are also eyeing moves for Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette and Real Madrid's Mariano Díaz.
