Not quite the real thing but...

On first glance it looks like Championship side Ipswich Town have pulled off the signing of the century.

On closer inspection however, it turns out Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar hasn't swapped the glitz and glamour of the Parc des Princes for Portman Road.

Ladies and gentlemen say hello to Barry Cotter, the 19-year-old set to have a medical at the Championship side on transfer deadline day after impressing on trial.

At the age of 16-year-old, full-back Cotter joined League of Ireland side Limerick FC and the picture of Barry holding a blue club scarf soon went viral in 2015

You can see why he was compared to the Brazilian.

Cotter has flown to England on Wednesday to complete a medical ahead of his move, worth a reported £50,000.

Not quite the £200 million paid by PSG for the signature of Neymar, but he could easily be mistaken for the former Barcelona player.

Back in February last year, Cotter was named in the U19 Irish squad after head coach Tom Mohan named his squad for an invitational tournament in La Manga.

He faced the likes of Norway, Portugal and Slovakia in three games which provided useful preparation for the UEFA U19 Championships Elite Qualifying Round.

One Ipswich fan predicted the outcome of Cotter's switch to the Championship with a simple clip.

We'll have to wait and see, Ipswich Steve!
