Could this be a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp?

Liverpool may not have long to wait to replace Philippe Coutinho, with news coming out of France tonight suggesting that one of Jurgen Klopp's targets has rejected a new contract at his current club.

Coutinho left Anfield for Barcelona in a £142 million move, last month and the Reds failed to bring in a direct replacement for the Brazilian, leaving a few fans concerned for their silverware chances, this season.

A surprise exit from the FA Cup at the hands of West Bromwich Albion a couple of weeks ago did nothing to help matters, as didn't a 1-0 reverse against Swansea City.

But there could be a huge deal on the horizon, with L'Equipe in France reporting that Monaco winger Thomas Lemar has rejected the offer of a new contract with the French champions.

Lemar was originally on the verge of a move to Arsenal as Alexis Sanchez's replacement in a £90 million deal, in August, before both his and Sanchez's moves both collapsed at the last minute.

However, with the Gunners now having captured Henrikh Mhkitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, they may have no need for Lemar, leaving the path clear for Liverpool to sign the 22-year-old.

Lemar has won eight caps for France and was a key part in Monaco's Ligue Un triumph, last season. Since then, he has continuously been linked with a move away from the Stade Louis II stadium.

Given these latest developments, it appears that move may not be too far away.

What do you think, Liverpool fans? Is Lemar the player you want or would you rather the club spend their money elsewhere?
