Well, it appears Jurgen Klopp is still debating whether to get the all-action midfielder this month following the £142 million sale of the Brazilian.

While Liverpool fans were resigned to losing Coutinho's services eventually, the Anfield faithfuls had been hoping to hold onto him till at least the end of the season.

However, the club succumbed to Barcelona's monstrous offer with Liverpool's 'Fab 4' now in the history books.

As a result, Liverpool want to bring in Keita earlier than expected.

Liverpool signed the Guinea international for a reported £50 million in the summer, with the player spending the subsequent season at RB Leipzig before linking up with his new teammates.

Liverpool had explored the possibility of getting him sooner but following Coutinho's departure, Klopp is now eager to draft him in ahead of the second half of the season.

And according to reports in Germany through Bild, RB Leipzig have 'softened their stance' on Keita leaving this month. But for a price.

It's claimed the Bundesliga outfit are looking for a fee of £13-17.5 million from Liverpool.

What's more, RB Leipzig are reportedly seeking for a cash injection in order to avoid a breach of UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

After playing for RB Leipzig in the Champions League this campaign, the 22-year-old would be cup-tied for European games, though he'd be available for the Premier League and FA Cup.
