Tyson Fury "More Than Welcome" To Help Me Train For Usyk Rematch, Anthony Joshua Claims

Anthony Joshua has welcomed Tyson Fury's offer to help him train for his anticipated rematch with Oleksandr Usyk next year.

The slick Ukrainian boxer outpointed AJ at Tottenham Hotspur stadium last month, taking his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight world titles in the process.

With rumours persisting over Joshua ditching his long-term coach, Rob McCracken, one surprise name has thrown his hat into the mix - that being WBA world champion Tyson Fury

The 33-year-old, who knocked out Deontay Wilder earlier this month to retain his belt, told Fox Sports Australia that he is just the man to help his fellow Brit avenge the defeat to Usyk.

"I believe that if I trained Anthony Joshua for the fight with Usyk, then he'd definitely win the fight," Fury stated."I'm offering my services to him - for me to train him for his rematch. And I guarantee he would win. I'd get him to fight like a big man."

Asked about the offer, Joshua was fairly receptive, inviting the Gypsy King to join him in the gym and even step into the ring together.

The 2012 Olympic gold medalist received criticism after the points loss to Usyk for not being assertive enough.

"Yeah lovely mate, if he takes no money for it. I don't know if he's after a quid or two," Joshua told iFL TV of Fury's unique coaching offer.

"He's more than welcome to come through the doors, he can even spar with me as well. I need a coach that's lived it, breathed it, so it'll be perfect.

"That'll be the easiest way to get him in the ring,' he said. 'I'll set up a camera, Eddie [Hearn] will be there with a few cameras running it on Facebook or YouTube,"

As a student of the sport, Joshua attests that it may not be the worst thing in the world for the two British heavyweights, both in their prime, to spend some time in one another's camps.

"I'm seeing pictures with Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Muhammad Ali, all sitting together, in each others training camps. I feel like I've been tucked away a lot," the 32-year-old added.

"Come into my training camp, come and see what the heavyweight champion gets up to.

"Tyson can definitely come and watch me train, 100 per cent. Sparring ain't fighting, so he can definitely come in, he's more than welcome to step in to the gym and give me some tips."
