Manchester United fans have named Paul Pogba and David de Gea as the only 'world-class' stars in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad.

The Red Devils have struggled to maintain consistency this season and have fallen nine points behind a top-four spot.

The United fans broke down the rankings into five separate categories: 'world class,' 'potential legend,' 'good squad player,' 'future star' and 'deadwood.'

United, who are seventh in the Premier League, picked up a 3-1 victory over Brighton before the start of the international break.

Solskjaer fielded the youngest Premier League side of the season in their win over the Seagulls, which had an average age of 23 years and 350 days.

And United assistant manager Mike Phelan said that the Norwegian is following in the same blueprints as Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson by putting his faith in the youth.

"Whether you're young or more senior, then you understand certain things and understand that Sir Matt Busby was really the instigator of what we're seeing now at the football club," he said.

"Sir Alex himself would say that he carried on certain traditions, but put his own little brand and style on it, and I think, going forward, that's what Ole will try and do as well."

United will resume their Premier League campaign on 24th November with an away trip to Sheffield United.
