Sad news coming out of the Mexico camp as Carlos Vela's grandfather has sadly died, and he's posted a heartfelt message to his late grandfather following Mexico's incredible World Cup victory against Germany.

Another player who performed heroically was ex-Arsenal winger Vela who starred for Mexico on Sunday.

However, a day after the game, tragedy struck with Vela's grandfather passing away.
The Los Angeles FC attacker posted on his social media, paying tribute to his grandfather.
"The last victory that you were able to see ... I hope you left proud of me," he wrote on Instagram.
Thoughts are with Vela's family.
