What Western Sydney Wanderers Goalkeeper Did In 95th Minute To Gift Brisbane Roar An Equaliser

A calamitous error...

Western Sydney Wanderers goalkeeper Vedran Janjetović produced one of the dumbest pieces of play ever to give the opposition a 96th minute equaliser over in the A-League on Friday.

His side had been 2-0 up courtesy of first-half goals from Roly Bonevacia and Kwame Yeboah but a nervy finish was in-store when Brisbane Roar's Tobias Mikkelsen pulled one back in the second minute of stoppage time.

Wanderers managed to contain their opponents for the next few minutes and looked set to see out the win when Janjetović tried to let the ball run out for a goal kick in the 95th minute.

Somehow, he managed to clearly touch the ball before it went out of play, needlessly giving away a corner that Roar scored from through Adam Taggart.

Unfortunately, Janjetović's howler has led to him getting ripped into on social media, with calls for his contract to be ripped up:

The 31-year old's reaction when the goal went in said absolutely everything and we hope his teammates were able to jee him back up at the end of the game.
