Dani Alves' two-year stint in Turin with Juventus is coming to an end, with the right-back almost nailed on to be signing for Manchester City, where he will link up with Pep Guardiola once again.

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed Alves, 34, is to leave the club in search of a new challenge - that challenge being testing himself in the Premier League.

The Brazilian full-back had a year left on his contract in Turin, but despite helping the Bianconeri lift a sixth Scudetto on the trot, the Coppa Italia, as well as an appearance in the Champions League final, his contract is to be terminated and he looks set to join City on a free.

The player himself has already hinted that the Etihad Stadium is going to be his next destination, speaking about his admiration for Pep Guardiola on a Brazilian TV show.

Alves and Juventus appeared to be departing on good terms, unlike the situation that saw him leave Barcelona, but fresh reports from Italy say that isn't the case.

Corriere Dello Sport say that Juventus officials are fuming with the Brazilian as he has reportedly told teammate Paulo Dybala to join him at City.

The former Palermo man cemented his place as one of the hottest prospects in world football thanks to a glittering season with Juventus, where he scored 19 goals and chipped in with seven assists in all competitions.

Dybala, 23, showed exactly what he was about he bagged a brilliant brace in the Champions League quarter final first leg win over Barcelona, and Juventus moved swiftly by tying him down to a new deal until 2020.

And Alves, who recently confessed to tell Dybala to leave Juventus in order to improve as a player and fulfil his potential, has caused a stir by trying to persuade him to join him on a flight to Manchester.

Do you think Alves will be an astute signing for City? Should Dybala follow suit?
