Phil Foden Ranked As One Of The Three Most Valuable Young Players In Europe

The Manchester City forward has been given a whopping transfer valuation of £128m.

Phil Foden has been named as one of the three most valuable young players in Europe.

The Manchester City forward, 21, has an estimated transfer valuation of £128m, according to new figures released by the CIES Football Observatory.

It comes after analysis of 60 high-profile players who are under the age of 23 in the five major European Leagues – the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, 21, and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, 21, have also been given the same valuation as Foden.

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, 20, is the joint-fourth on the list with an estimated value of £119m, alongside Barcelona star Pedri, 19, and Bayer Leverkusen’s 18-year-old prodigy Florian Wirtz.

Despite his slow start to life at Old Trafford, Jadon Sancho, 21, is seventh on the list with a valuation of £111m – perhaps a surprising figure given United paid only £73m for the England international in July.

Meanwhile, Manchester City forward Ferran Torres (21) is valued at £102m – a fee likely to be well out of the reach of cash-strapped Barcelona, who have been linked with a move for the Spain international.

Another Borussia Dortmund player, England international Jude Bellingham (18), is also valued at £102m – as is Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies, 21, who is the only defender to feature in the top ten.

One notable omission from the list is Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

The France international, 22, does not feature as he is out of contract at the end of the season and could join another club for free.

Real Madrid were reportedly prepared to spend £197m to sign Mbappe in the summer transfer window but PSG refused to sell to the Spanish giants.
