Phil Foden Fully Wiped Out Aaron Wan-Bissaka With Shoulder Charge And 'Absolutely Bullied' Man United Defender

"[Phil] Foden pushed [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka like a bag of potatoes. Embarrassing." Fans said the United defender was "absolutely obliterated."

Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden “bullied” Aaron Wan-Bissaka and sent the Manchester United defender flying with a powerful shoulder barge.

Pep Guardiola’s men outclassed their crosstown rivals and ran riot in a 4-1 demolition win at the Etihad on Monday.

Foden, 21, was hailed for his impressive performance in City’s crushing derby win, with the energetic England midfielder giving Wan-Bissaka a tough time.

With United 2-1 down going into half-time, Wan-Bissaka was caught by complete surprise by Foden after trying to keep possession early in the second half.

Footage of the 24-year-old United right-back being wiped out by Foden made the rounds on social media, with one fan saying Wan-Bissaka was “absolutely bullied.”

“I’d bring Wan-Bissaka off after that. You can’t be allowing Foden to do that to you and then get on with the game as normal,” one fan tweeted.

A fifth added: “Wan-Bissaka just got absolutely obliterated off the ball by Foden. Don’t ever tell me he deserves a start over [Diogo] Dalot.”

A second-half Riyad Mahrez brace ensured that City sealed an emphatic win, with Guardiola’s men now six points clear of Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

City’s 4-1 drubbing of United is a major blow to the Red Devils’ pursuit for a top-four finish, with Ralf Rangnick’s side now one point adrift of fourth-place Arsenal.

United will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Tottenham at Old Trafford.

City, meanwhile, will turn their attention to their Champions League campaign as they face Sporting CP in their second-leg last-16 clash at the Etihad on Wednesday.
