It’s hard to imagine a more satisfying substitution for a manager than bringing your own son off the bench to score a dramatic late winner.
It may sound like something from a cheesy movie script but that's precisely what happened in Portugal on Saturday night as league leaders Porto came from two goals down to beat Estoril 3-2 away from home.
With the match locked at 2-2 heading into the closing stages, Porto manager – former Portugal international Sergio Conceicao – turned to his son Francisco.
The 19-year-old was tasked with finding a late goal for his side and did not disappoint his father, scoring the winner from close range just three minutes after coming off the bench.

His goal, which keeps Porto three points clear the top of the table, sparked wild celebrations from the visiting team at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota.
The youngster initially wheeled away in celebration with his team-mates before wrestling free to find his father on the touchline.

The older Conceicao then planted a huge kiss on his son’s cheek before giving him several slaps on the head for good measure.
The dramatic late goal was only Francisco’s second in 34 appearances for the senior Porto team.
He has some way to go to match the achievements of his father, who scored 73 goals in 526 appearances in a club career which featured spells at Porto, Lazio and Inter Milan.

He also won 56 caps for Portugal, scoring 12 times, and represented his country two major tournaments.
