Table shows which Premier League teams have been awarded the most penalties this season

A table has shown how many penalties each Premier League side have been awarded so far this season and the results are pretty interesting.

Manchester City top the list of penalties awarded in the Premier League so far this season, with one club yet to earn a single spot-kick.

City have already been crowned champions of the division and achieved the feat with three games left to play, scoring 93 goals in 36 games on their way to the triumph.

But the league table isn't the only table they're topping. Data shows that Pep Guardiola's side have won 10 penalties this campaign, two more than any other side.

Bournemouth fans, however, will be fuming, with the club yet to be awarded a penalty in the Premier League this season.

Three teams have each taken eight penalties this season, with Fulham, West Ham and Brentford all joint-second on the list. The conversion rates have varied, however, with Fulham scoring 62.5 per cent thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic's poor run from the spot and West Ham 75 per cent, with City netting nine from 10 and Brentford seven from eight.

Leicester and Nottingham Forest have both scored three of their six penalties this campaign, while Newcastle and Brighton can boast a 100 per cent record from their six spot-kicks. Tottenham have missed one of their six - Harry Kane at Nottingham Forest in August.

Liverpool and Southampton have netted two of their four this campaign (through Mo Salah and James Ward-Prowse), while Aston Villa and Arsenal have missed one of four kicks.

At the bottom end of the penalty table, Crystal Palace and Leeds have netted just one of their three spot-kicks, while Wolves, Chelsea and Everton boast a three from three record. Manchester United are in 19th with two, but have scored both.

Bournemouth fans will be left feeling disgruntled with their unusual claim to fame. Of course you have to get into the box to win a penalty, but four teams have scored fewer than the Cherries this season.

Perhaps they'll get one on the last day at Everton. That would be sure to go down a treat at Goodison Park on Sunday.
