Former Premier League star Miguel Perez Cuesta, better known as ‘Michu’, has been seen looking unrecognisable in a recent clip as he sends a birthday message to Swansea icon Alan Curtis.
Michu came out of nowhere when he signed for Swansea for £2m from Rayo Vallecano in 2012.
The Spaniard scored 18 goals for Swansea in the Premier League with only Robin van Persie, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale and Christian Benteke scoring more than him that year.
The image of him twisting his hand while putting it toward his ear would become quickly iconic after every goal. Michu scored 22 goals in all competitions as Swansea finished ninth and won the Capital One Cup (League Cup) under Michael Laudrup.

Speaking to SPORTbible in 2023 Michu recalled his famous debut campaign: “It was good to score 22 goals that season and for me the best memory is winning the final against Bradford and it was the centenary of the club. I'm a lucky guy because I could live this in football.”
Michu's world-class form sadly didn't last in the Premier League and following a disappointing loan move to Napoli in 2014, he never really returned to his brilliant best.
Michu is well known for his luscious long hair, but his iconic look is a thing of the past as fans were taken back by the 38-year-old's new look in a recent video.
The former Swansea forward was all smiles as he delivered a birthday message to Swansea legend Alan Curtis, but his new 'short back n sides' took a few by surprise.

Following his retirement in 2017 Michu was appointed as the director of football of Langreo, where his brother served as the head coach.
He left this position on 3 April 2019 to take up the role of technical secretary at Oviedo. Later that year, in December, he agreed to terminate his contract to join Burgos CF in a similar capacity.
