Supercomputer predicts Everton's chances of Premier League survival after 10-point deduction

A supercomputer has predicted Everton's chances of Premier League survival following a 10-point deduction.

Sean Dyche's side have dropped from 14th to 19th in the table for breaching profitability and sustainability rules.

The Toffees plan to appeal the decision, which they've called 'unjust' in a statement released on Friday.

Everton avoided relegation on the final day of last season with a win over Bournemouth.

It could be another scrap at the bottom this season, with the Merseyside outfit currently nestled between newly-promoted Sheffield United and Burnley.

Have no fear, Everton supporters. You're going to be just fine.

Bettingexpert's incredibly detailed BETSiE supercomputer has predicted Everton will be in 17th place come May with a seven point gap between themselves and the drop.

It's another nervy finale to the campaign, but it ensures the club will play Premier League football in their new stadium in 2024.

The supercomputer thinks Everton's survival will come at the expense of Luton Town, who are currently outside the bottom three.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are expected to win another Premier League title, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United making up the rest of the top four.

That means Tottenham Hotspur, who have lost their last two under Ange Postecoglou after such a promising start, will slip out of the top four.

Manchester United have been predicted to come eighth and that'd be their lowest-ever finish.

Interestingly, that's below Chelsea, who are 10th in the table at the time of writing.
