PSG star Neymar 'dropped a whopping €1m' on a single hand in poker, he was brutally mocked with Titanic theme

PSG star Neymar 'dropped a whopping €1m' on a single hand in poker, he was brutally mocked with Titanic theme

PSG star Neymar has been known for his Twitch streams, with the Brazilian winger a keen Counter-Strike fan and an avid poker player.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar lost a staggering amount of money on a single hand in an online poker match during his live stream on Twitch.

Neymar has been ruled out for the remainder of PSG’s season after he sustained an ankle injury in his side’s 4-3 win over Lille at the Parc des Princes in February.

The 31-year-old Brazilian winger, who requires surgery for his ankle injury, has become well known for his love of Twitch streaming off the pitch.

Neymar is a fond admirer of the Counter-Strike series and has streamed his time on Global Offensive, as well as even competing in the European Poker Tour.

Despite his love of poker, the former Barcelona star was left with a burning hole in his pocket after losing a whopping £880,000 (€1m) on a single hand.

That’s according to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, which reported that Neymar began to ‘fake cry’ and ‘scream’ after dropping £880,000 in his poker match (watch it in the video player above).

Footage of Neymar’s fake cry and scream was accompanied by the iconic theme from 1997’s Titanic, with the Brazil international entertaining the song.

Neymar could be heard saying “Oh, f**k” with a laugh and then hilariously pretended to play a flute -- out of tune -- to Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On.’

When one of the PSG forward’s fellow players suggested that he went ‘from a million to zero in 60 minutes,’ Neymar hilariously responded: “I’m going to put this on YouTube.”

PSG manager Christophe Galtier has previously defended Neymar’s antics after the player was spotted out late playing poker only a day after his side’s defeat to Bayern Munich.

“You can’t, and I’m not going to, associate Kylian’s statement, the words he had in the dressing room, with the picture of Ney in a fast-food restaurant,” he said in February.

“I have spoken to Ney. I told him what I thought. Ney has the right in his day of recovery, of rest -- he is passionate about poker -- he has the right to play poker.

“And then I told him what I thought about that picture that came out. And that’s between me and him.

“But I am convinced that there is no link between Kylian’s statement and the photo that came out.”
