Chelsea caught football fans' attention when it emerged how many players the club have out on loan.

The Blues have over 40 players loaned out across the world, so it must be hard to outdo them on that front, right?

Nope. One team has more players out at other clubs than the Premier League side.

As of 31st January, Serie A side Atalanta have 76 players out on loan.

That's crazy, right?

It's almost enough to make seven starting XIs. Oh, and La Dea even have nine 'keepers out on loan!

Most of the loans will end this year in June, with some even running until June 2020.

Chelsea have done their own bit of business with loans in the January transfer window, shipping out Álvaro Morata to Atlético Madrid and bringing in Gonzalo Higuaín.

The 31-year-old Argentine striker bagged himself a brace against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Following on from their 5-0 thrashing of the Terriers, Eden Hazard praised the impact of the former Real Madrid and Napoli star.

"He's a great striker," he told Chelsea TV.

"He's a bit less of a target man than [Olivier] Giroud, but he can hold the ball, he can play one touches and he's intelligent.

"In the box, he's unbelievable. He will score more goals."

Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League and will face reigning champions Manchester City next Sunday.

The 28-year-old Belgian ace, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, believes that his side can beat Pep Guardiola's men at the Etihad Stadium.

"It's going to be a different game than two or three months ago," he explained.

"I think they will have the ball. City have these kinds of players to play together. We will defend well and then we will score one goal or two.

"We need to be focused. This month is going to be hard, but we are Chelsea. We can beat everyone if we want."

Will Chelsea finish in the top four this season?
