Stunning Compilation Of Raheem Sterling's Debut Has Chelsea Fans Calling Him 'New Hazard'

Raheem Sterling made his Chelsea debut against Charlotte.

A stunning compilation of Raheem Sterling's Chelsea debut has fans comparing him to club legend Eden Hazard.

Sterling made his first appearance for his new team since completing his £47.5 million switch from Manchester City.

He came off the bench in their penalty shootout defeat to Charlotte on Thursday and left a lasting impression on Chelsea fans.

The 27-year-old looked sharp and linked up nicely with his teammates.

He also showed off his trademark dribbling skills, with fans online comparing him to Hazard.

They rated Sterling's movement as Chelsea supporters reminisced about their former superstar forward.

One tweeted: "He gives me vibes Eden Hazard fluidity. Always trying to create chances for the team."

A second wrote: "He reminds me of Eden, hope his legacy and role will continue by Sterling."

A third added: "Looks exciting and definitely promising. Looking forward to seeing more."

Another commented: "Created things out of nothing, he could actually cause problems for city when Chelsea play them."

Sterling joins Chelsea having amassed a huge amount of experience at Man City, where he won four Premier League titles and scored 131 goals.

He's been backed to become the Chelsea captain by Trevor Sinclair ahead of the new season.

"I think Raheem Sterling should go in at Chelsea and become the captain," he said.

"If you look at it, he’s vice-captain of England and the only person who you can say has more experience than him is Thiago Silva and he’s getting on.

"You can’t build your team around someone who might be leaving at the end of the season.

"Everyone looks up to him. You hear young players all the time talking about how Raheem Sterling did this and how he helped them with that.

"I think he could go in and be a great captain for Chelsea. He could lead that team to something very special."

The Blues resume their pre-season on Sunday when they face Arsenal in the Florida Cup.
