Rangers Set To Earn HUGE Sum If They Beat Eintracht Frankfurt In The Europa League Final

Rangers Set To Earn HUGE Sum If They Beat Eintracht Frankfurt In The Europa League Final

Rangers take on Frankfurt in Seville on Wednesday night.

Rangers could receive up to £40m in prize money if they win the Europa League final on Wednesday night.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the showpiece event at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium in Seville.

According to The Mirror, Rangers have already banked €22.6m (£19m) in prize money from their run to the final, which included memorable wins over Borussia Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade, Braga and RB Leipzig.

The Scottish club will reportedly earn €4m (£3.4m) if they are crowned Europa League champions.

Rangers would then also earn €3.5m (£3m) for competing in next season's Super Cup against either Liverpool or Real Madrid, with the winners of that match receiving a bonus €1m (£840,000) payment.

Should they beat Frankfurt, Rangers would also qualify for next season's Champions League – earning €15.6m (£13.1m) in the process.

Each group stage win in the Champions League is also reportedly worth an additional €2.8m (£2.3m).

Those figures do not include their share of UEFA's Europa League market pool, a broadcasting fund worth an estimated €139.5m (£117.2m), that will be distributed between every club that has competed in the competition this season.

Meanwhile, the Champions League market pool is thought to be worth more than €300m (£252m).

The prize money would be a huge financial boost for Rangers, who spent just £2.61m on transfers this season, according to transfermarkt.co.uk.

Rangers are set to be backed by huge support on Wednesday night, with 80,000 of the club's fans estimated to have made the trip to Spain.

A number of Rangers legends, including former striker Ally McCoist, have urged the club's supporters to behave themselves in Seville.

McCoist said: "This is a message to all the boys and girls travelling over to Seville to cheer on our team.

"It's a fantastic journey when you consider the journey we have been on in the last 10 years. It's absolutely remarkable from the lads getting to Seville.

"Now that we are there, we want to enjoy it and I want you all to have a great time.

"But please, please, please behave. You are representing our great club and our country. Let's behave ourselves and do Rangers proud."
