Raphinha Single-Handedly Ran The Show On Barcelona Debut, His Highlights Are Frighteningly Good

Raphinha Single-Handedly Ran The Show On Barcelona Debut, His Highlights Are Frighteningly Good

The former Leeds United man was up for it.

New Barcelona signing Raphinha produced a masterclass in his side's 6-0 pre-season victory over Inter Miami.

The Brazil international completed a £55 million move from Leeds United last week and signed a five-year deal.

Barcelona were involved in a transfer war for the 25-year-old, with Chelsea and Arsenal showing interest.

Raphinha decided to move to La Liga however and it took 19 minutes into his debut to show what he is all about.

A lovely one two with Pedri saw spectators inside the DRV PNK Stadium rise to their feet, before Raphinha played the ball through to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He made no mistake from close range to give Xavi's side the lead.

Six minutes later, Raphinha got on the scoresheet himself with a fine volley at the near post.

He registered a second assist just before halftime after floating a ball over to Ansu Fati, who emphatically hammered home.

Supporters are incredibly excited about Raphinha and eager to see how he performs at the Camp Nou.

One person said: "I’m saying it now… Raphinha will become one of Barca’s main players next season."

A second tweeted: "First game in and he already has a 2 min comp, this brudda is going straight to the top."

Someone put: "Chelsea and Arsenal fans crying right now, he's here and he's perfect."

While another added: "Neymar with a left foot! I can't wait!"

Gavi, Memphis Depay and Ousmane Dembele all scored in the second half to complete the rout.

Raphinha was not the only summer recruit to impress, with Franck Kessie putting in a confident display in midfield and Andreas Christensen looking composed at the back.

Robert Lewandowski did not make his debut but trained with his teammates after joining from Bayern Munich.

Barcelona take on bitter rivals Real Madrid in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday morning and Raphinha has already fired a warning.

The former Rennes man told reporters post-match: "One always tries to score against anyone, but if it's in a derby, even more. The most important thing is the win - but for me we're better than Real Madrid.

"I'm very happy to have scored my first goal. It was a good game. I tried to have a good game. I'm very happy and hope to continue it."
