Michael Owen regularly irritates football fans with the things that he says.
The former Liverpool man has taken on the 'Captain Obvious' nickname thanks to some of the things he has come out with in his role as a pundit and anything he says tends to grind the gears of fans.
And you guessed it, he's done it again.
The 2001 Ballon d'Or was speaking about Marouane Fellaini ahead of Manchester United's game against Anderlecht in the Europa League and basically said there was no difference between the Belgian and Michael Carrick.

Carrick, who will receive a United testimonial in the summer, is well liked by United fans and even at his age, keeps United ticking over.

The same cannot be said for Fellaini, who has even been booed by his own supporters this season.
