Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland expects to join Chelsea this summer in massive transfer.

The Norwegian sensation, who arrived at Dortmund in January 2020, has scored an incredible 40 goals in 43 games in the Bundesliga over the last 18 months.

At just 20 years of age, Haaland has been linked with every top European club, with Chelsea looking the most likely to land the forward's signature at this time.

According to Duncan Castles, Haaland expects to be playing his football at Stamford Bridge next season.

Whilst Thomas Tuchel was successful in helping Chelsea reclaim the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City last May, the West London club's joint top goal-scorers were Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner on just 12 goals.

Therefore there have been several reports over the summer that Chelsea are looking to bolster their squad and add goals to the team to pose a significant title threat next season.

When Tuchel was asked about the striker earlier in the year, he said: "He's a Borussia Dortmund player, and, of course, there's big news around him and his agent. It seems like they are creating a race for the player. But still, everybody needs to accept, and I will fully accept, that he is a Borussia Dortmund player."

According to Castles, Haaland's super agent Mino Raiola has been looking to install a clause which would allow Chelsea to buy him at a fixed price before his buyout clause triggers next year which is believed to be in the region of €75 and €100 million.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has also openly shown his admiration for the Dortmund striker, however he said earlier this year: "It's impossible to make signings like Mbappe and Haaland, in general, not just for Real Madrid, without the Super League."

Whilst Haaland was seemingly happy to stay at Dortmund for another year after securing Champions League football, there are some suggestions that the departure of close friend Jadon Sancho to Manchester United has opened his eyes to a move this year.

Even though Chelsea have not made a concrete bid for Haaland, discussions have continued between Chelsea and Raiola.
