Shkodran Mustafi has had a nightmare moment for Arsenal, which allowed Al-Nasr's Ronnie Fernández to open the scoring in their match.

Unai Emery must have been left scratching his head in disbelief after Shkodran Mustafi produced a shocking display of defending for Arsenal.

The Gunners travelled to Dubai on Tuesday for a friendly against Al-Nasr, but the 26-year-old centre-back was one of the main talking points after his error allowed the Arabian Gulf League side to score the opener.

The Arsenal defender failed to close down Ronnie Fernández and went to ground too early.

Instead, Fernández had the opportunity to control the ball and unleash a peach of a curler past Bernd Leno to open the scoring.

Check it out below.

Shocker, right?

As always, football fans have been absolutely shocked by what they've seen Mustafi do and have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

"The lads are rightly out there not giving a s**t, but it's still mad how bad Mustafi is considering the opposition. Why is he always on the floor?" one Twitter user wrote.

Another said: "Mustafi struggling in our friendly match in Dubai? I expect nothing less."

A third wrote: "Leave Mustafi in Dubai."

A fourth added: "Sell Mustafi or we riot."

Thankfully for Arsenal fans, Unai Emery's men came back into the match to claim a 3-2 victory over Al-Nasr.

Carl Jenkinson equalised for his side before half-time, while Alexandre Lacazette and Tyreece John-Jules put the Gunners ahead 3-1.

While Al-Nasr were awarded a penalty late on and Jalal converted from the spot kick to hand his side a lifeline, it wasn't enough before the full-time whistle had blown.

Following on from the international break, the Gunners resume their Premier League campaign when they host Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on 1st April.
