It has been confirmed that a second series of the popular series 'Sunderland 'Till I Die' will be released on Netflix in the coming weeks.

Following a successful first season, where cameras followed the club's heartbreaking relegation from the Championship to League One, producer Leo Pearlman has now offered insight into new episodes of the fly-on-the-wall docuseries

In a public lecture at the University of Sunderland, he suggested it would be "4-6 weeks" until we get to see the second series, which hints at at an early-mid release in March.

However, a concrete release date has yet to be announced, according to the Sunderland Echo.

It has also been confirmed that there will be six installments of 'Sunderland 'Till I Die' series two, unlike the previous season that contained eight.

In terms of the finer details, the fourth episode will specifically focus on trips to Wembley, where they lost to Charlton in the play-off final, as well as their heartbreaking Checkatrade Trophy final defeat to Portsmouth on penalties.

The other five episodes will focus on the club's journey in League One under manager Jack Ross.

"Jack Ross is a very disciplined, organised man." producer Pearlman said of Ross, who was sacked by Sunderland in October last year.

"He's very meticulous and I think that anything that could possibly hinder that, concerns him. Ultimately, all Jack wants is success on the pitch and I respect that."

Pearlman has also hinted at a third series of the Netflix docuseries, saying: "If something big happens in the future, I'm sure we'll be able to capture it on camera,"
