It looks like Virgil van Dijk will beat Raheem Sterling to the first individual piece of silverware this season with the Dutchman on course to win the PFA Player of the Year award.
The end of this Premier League season is going to be a tasty one at the top of the table. In the last few years the title race has been as good as over, if not already done and dusted, by this point but Manchester City and Liverpool are still duking it out for the title this year.
Whoever doesn't win the title will consider themselves extremely unlucky as their points total will likely have been good enough to win the title in most other seasons.
The battle between the two clubs has been tight all season and they've barely been separable, and the same can be said about two of their players.

Talk for a while has been about whether Raheem Sterling or Virgil van Dijk has been the best player in the Premier League this season and which of the pair would pick up the end of season awards.
According to the Times Van Dijk is set to beat Sterling to the PFA Player of the Year award, with votes for the award having closed, and will get his trophy next week.
No Manchester City player has ever won the PFA version of the award, voted for by fellow players, and Van Dijk is set to take over from teammate Mo Salah as the winner.

Robin van Persie won the award in 2012 and Luis Suarez won the award in 2014, the other two years City have won the Premier League other than last season.
Despite missing out on the 'Player's Player Award' is seems that Sterling will win the Football Writers' Footballer of the Year award, although voting for that won't close until a week on Sunday.
Sterling's goals and assists have taken Pep Guardiola's side to the verge of defending their title for the first time and he's been directly involved with 26 goals for the club.

Van Dijk has made a huge difference in Jurgen Klopp's defence, a part of the team that let them down in the past.
Either man would be a worthy winner and they look set to share the silverware but which of them will also get to lift the Premier League trophy come May 12th?
