Paul Merson claimed Bayern Munich never won the Champions League with Robert Lewandowski in their team while discussing Harry Kane's future.
Kane is yet to win a major honour with Spurs despite being one of the Premier League's best strikers.
His contract is set to expire in 2024, with German giants Bayern registering interest as recently as last summer.

The England captain's future was a hot topic among the Soccer Saturday panel, which saw Merson get involved.
Jeff Stelling asked Merson if Kane would be tempted by a move to Bayern if they came calling. After taking a second to gather his thoughts, the former Arsenal midfielder replied: "I don't know if that'd rock his boat, Bayern Munich. What would you go there for? Tell me, I don't know. To win the Bundesliga?"
Stelling then said Julian Nagelsmann's men regularly contend for Europe's top prize.

Merson declared: "They won't win the Champions League. They didn't win it with Robert Lewandowski."
Bayern won the Champions League in 2020 after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final. In the run to Lisbon, they also demolished Barcelona 8-2.
Lewandowski scored 51 times in 43 appearances for Bayern, who also won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal that season, and the Poland international was arguably robbed of the Ballon d'Or.

He joined Barcelona in the summer which is what fuelled Bayern's interest in Kane. Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn admitted it would be a 'dream' to sign the 29-year-old, with Bayern currently operating without an orthodox striker.
Kane has scored eight Premier League goals this season, netting the winner in last weekend's 1-0 victory over Brighton.

He also bagged a penalty in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
When asked about Bayern's interest prior to that game, Kane stated: "I’m focused on Tottenham Hotspur and trying to do my best for us.
"For sure, Bayern are a top, top club, but all my concentration is on Tottenham and trying to win."
