'This is poor' - John Terry brutally slams Roy Keane for selfie snub at NFL match in now-deleted tweet

John Terry told Laura Woods that it was “poor” form from Manchester United legend Roy Keane to snub a fan’s request for a selfie at an NFL match.

Keane, 51, attended the Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants clash on 9th October at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Sky Sports pundit went viral on social media after a fan approached him for a selfie at the NFL match, with Keane appearing visibly frustrated in the exchange.

Footage from the incident saw Keane shaking his head in disbelief and the no-nonsense Red Devils legend had his arms firmly folded while remaining in his seat.

According to reports, it is believed that Keane sent the fan away and told him to wait until half-time for a photo opportunity, but it remains unclear if the pair ever snapped a pic in the end.

Woods, who covered the Giants’ 27-22 win over the Packers for ITV, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share footage of the selfie snub from Keane and called it her “favourite part” from Sunday.

The talkSPORT host tweeted: “My favourite part of Sunday. Don’t ask Roy for a selfie at a game.”

Terry offered his two cents on Keane’s reaction and believed his fellow Premier League legend should have taken the ‘two seconds’ to take a photo with the fan. 

Responding to Woods’ tweet, the former England defender wrote: “It takes 2 seconds to have a picture with the fans. I think this is poor.”

Woods staunchly defended Keane for his actions by suggesting to Terry that the former Man United star might have told the fan to wait for a photo.

“Ahhh John to be fair I think he says wait until half time so it probably looks worse than it is, still made me laugh though,” she wrote in response to Terry.

Terry, 41, deleted his tweet after his exchange with Woods, with the former Chelsea star potentially realising that Keane may have ultimately taken the selfie with the fan.

During the incident on Sunday, Woods said on ITV: “You’ve got Roy Keane, Manchester United legend, what would you think to do?

“Ask for a selfie? What would the answer be? It would be a hard no.”
