It didn't go unnoticed by fans on social media.

New footage shows Bukayo Saka bouncing the ball of Jordan Pickford's head during the melee between Everton and Arsenal.

The Sean Dyche era started with a big win as the Toffees stunned the Gunners 1-0 at Goodison Park last Saturday.

James Tarkowski headed home in the second-half to hand Everton three valuable points as they momentarily left the relegation zone before the rest of the weekend's results.

They looked a completely different outfit compared to the side managed by Frank Lampard, who was sacked following the club's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United.

Dyche's team worked as a unit and showed their fighting spirit, evident during a flashpoint between Oleksandr Zinchenko and Neal Maupay in the closing stages of the match.

After Zinchenko and Maupay clashed, a melee erupted, with Saka producing a hilarious moment which didn't go unnoticed by fans online.

As Pickford spoke to Granit Xhaka, the Arsenal forward hilariously bounced the ball off the back of his head.

The Everton goalkeeper turned around and appeared ready to lash out, before realising it was his England teammate.

The moment between Pickford and Saka got people online talking.

One Twitter user wrote: "Pickford was ready to go off until he saw it was Saka."

A second tweeted: "Bukayo is loved by England players, Pickford didn't mind."

A third added: "Pickford realised who it was and didn’t even react cause he knew it’s all in good fun."

A fourth commented: "The way Saka hit Pickford with the football has me dying."

Another said: "That’s so loveable. He’s trying to get his friend to calm down. It worked."

The interaction between Pickford and Saka sums up the bond the England internationals have with each other.

But Pickford had the last laugh as his side beat Saka's Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta explaining how his team will react following their second league defeat of the season.

"We’re going to stay together," he revealed. "The best way to react is to understand who we are and how we got into this position. We struggled to control their direct type of game, and get back to the game we want to play.

"Do those things right, manage the game better, do it better individually and collectively and we earn the right to win games. That is what we will do."
