The Arabic commentary for Saudi Arabia's winner against Argentina is absolutely incredible

The Arabic commentary for Saudi Arabia's winner against Argentina is absolutely incredible

Salem Aldawsari's goal in the second-half gave Saudi Arabia a historic World Cup win.

Saudi Arabia pulled off one of the World Cup's biggest upsets on Tuesday when they came from behind to beat Argentina at the Lusail Stadium – and the arabic commentary when Salem Aldawsari scored the winner is utterly brilliant.

Many thought Argentina would run away with the Group C tie when Lionel Messi converted from the penalty spot after Saud Abdulhamid hauled down Leandro Paredes in the area. But after dominating the first-half, Saudi Arabia turned up in the second.

Saleh Alshehri equalised with 48 minutes played – his 11th goal for the Saudi national team – before hero-of-the-hour Salem Aldawsari scored an absolute screamer from the edge of the box to give Hervé Renard's side a shock 2-1 lead in Doha.

As you can imagine, plenty of fans inside the Lusail Stadium went nuts as the ball nestled into the back of the net. And so did those on Arabic commentary, who delivered a moment to remember for millions watching at home. How good is this? Just wow.

Saudi Arabia worked so hard to defend their lead throughout the second-half and somehow, they managed to stop the attacking talent of Lionel Messi and co – who had two goals disallowed in opening 45 minutes – after a pulsating game of World Cup football.

Here's how social media reacted Argentina's 36-match unbeaten run being stopped by Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

One said: "All the talk if it stays this way will be on Argentina not stepping up, but Saudi Arabia need lots of credit here. They’ve been brave, they’ve been full of beans, and - most importantly - they’ve been good. Two excellent goals, and some tremendous defending."

A second commented: "All the credit to Saudi Arabia. Leaving their heart out on the pitch," while a third wrote: "I don’t think I’ve ever celebrated a Saudi Arabia goal like I did this one."

Thoughts on that Arabic commentary for Salem Aldawsari's winner?
