Sergio Busquets Received A 95th Minute Yellow Card For Kicking Second Ball To Stop Cadiz Scoring

Sergio Busquets Received A 95th Minute Yellow Card For Kicking Second Ball To Stop Cadiz Scoring

Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets kicked the ball right at Salvi as he prepared to cross and it sparked crazy scenes.

Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets came up with a tremendous bit of sh*thousery in the 95th minute of the 0-0 draw with Cadiz on Thursday night.

The Blaugrana, who had Frenkie de Jong sent off in the second half. extended their winless run to three games following another poor showing that leaves them in seventh position, seven points behind leaders Real Madrid.

But it could have been worse had Busquets not showed his experience and love for the dark arts deep into stoppage time.

Cadiz countered quickly and a ball in behind sent winger Salvi Sanchez down the right flank.

Salvi picked up a dangerous crossing position but a second ball appeared in the Barca box.

It wasn't initially causing too much of a distraction but that all changed when Busquets kicked it straight at Salvi, hitting him on the leg.

The Cadiz No.7 put the ball in the box and saw his striker get on the end of it and stab past Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

But the goal didn't count because of Busquets' actions, which resulted in a yellow card for him and a free-kick for Cadiz.

Although utterly bizarre, it was a clever bit of thinking from Busquets.

Shortly after this incident, Barca boss Ronald Koeman was sent off and he claims his dismissal was down to him informing the referee of the second ball.

"They didn't send me off for nervousness, they sent me off for telling the referee that there was a second ball and the game had to be stopped," Koeman told Barca TV.

"In this country, they send you off for nothing! I asked why and he said 'attitude, attitude' ... we better leave it.”
