Jose Mourinho goes on yet another rant, brutally singles out one Roma player

Jose Mourinho has delivered yet another rant, laying into his Roma players and singling out one player in particular.

The Giallorossi draw 1-1 with Servette in the Europa League on Thursday night, with Romelu Lukaku's opener cancelled out by a strike from Chris Bedia early into the second half.

The draw moved Roma onto 10 points in Group G but find themselves two points behind Slavia Prague going into the final game.

They take on bottom side Sheriff at the Stadio Olimpico on 14 December but there's a chance they have to contest a play-off in order to reach the round of 16.

Mourinho is looking to guide Roma to the Europa League final for the second consecutive season.

But the Portuguese was unhappy with the attitudes of his players and mentioned midfielder Houssem Aouar as someone who did not pull his weight.

The former Lyon man was replaced by Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 56th minute.

"Yet again we were superficial in our attitude, in our interpretation of this moment of the match," he told Sky Sport Italia, via Metro.

"There are players who once again missed an opportunity to prove themselves, for example Aouar.

"There are several who are on the bench and come on in Serie A with a great attitude, then in the Europa League they come on with this sluggish attitude, like they are not accustomed to being on the bench and then do not improve the game."

Mourinho, the only manager to have won all three of UEFA's club competitions, continued to question his players for "doing the bare minimum" and "turning their noses up" in the Europa League.

He continued: "I don’t want to make a drama out of going into the play-off.The drama if anything is that we had the wrong attitude from these players and those who come out for the second half like that, repeatedly.

"I honestly do not understand it. I coached 150 Champions League games, which are much tougher, and yet it seems like there are people who don’t have a great history in Europe and play these fixtures with the bare minimum.

"There are those who give their all for 90 minutes and those who seem to turn their noses up at this competition.

"There are people who feel comfortable with this superficial approach and we pay for it in results."

Roma are back in Serie A action against Sassuolo on Sunday, before they host Fiorentina.
