Tammy Abraham Showed His S***house Proficiency With A Cheeky Wink To The Bench After Going Down 'Injured'

Tammy Abraham Showed His S***house Proficiency With A Cheeky Wink To The Bench After Going Down 'Injured'

The Roma forward played his part in the Europa Conference League final, and showed off the skills he's learnt from Jose Mourinho this season

Tammy Abraham showed exactly what he's been learning off Jose Mourinho this season, with a lovely wink straight of the s***house handbook during the Europa Conference League final.

It's been a very good debut season for Abraham in Italy, since moving from Chelsea to Roma last summer, after falling down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.

He's broken records during the Serie A campaign, scoring 17 times as the club finished in sixth place in the league, to qualify for next season's Europa League.

On Wednesday, the Giallorossi won their first piece of silverware since 2008, when they defeated Feyenoord in the inaugural Europa Conference League final.

Nicolo Zaniolo scored the only goal of the game, but Abraham still managed to have an impact late on, as the Italians attempted to run down the clock.

The striker was fouled with around 10 minutes to go and was hurt as he clutched his ankle, but he then looked towards the Roma bench and gave a cheeky wink. Who knows exactly why he winked, I'm sure you can come to your own conclusions.

The wink has also been used to great effect this season in Europe, with Moussa Dembele going all Cristiano Ronaldo after getting Aaron Cresswell sent off in the Europa League, which English commentators were less happy about.

Abraham's version was also reminiscent of one that was famously done against a Mourinho side, when Sergio Busquets went down against the 59-year-old's Inter Milan side.

That was in the Champions League semi final in 2010, against Barcelona, though the former Inter boss had the last laugh that day, as his team went on to win, and then win the treble.

Last night was his first piece of silverware for an Italian club since the Champions League 12 years ago, and was his fifth title in Europe in his career.

Abraham must have felt especially vindicated, having missed out on last season's Champions League final when Tuchel completely dropped him from the squad, for the win over Manchester City.

He wasn't the only Englishman celebrating on Wednesday night, with former Manchester United centre back Chris Smalling picking up the man of the match award for Mourinho's side.

Speaking after the match, the defender told BT Sport, "We knew how much it was going to mean to everybody in Rome, and you can see how together we are, everybody fought until the end."

Improved defending for Smalling and improved s***housery for Abraham, the true Mourinho effect!
