The 10 Best Football Pundits On TV Have Been Named And Ranked

From Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville to Alex Scott and Emma Hayes, the 10 best pundits in football have been revealed.

Gary Neville has been named as the best football pundit on TV ahead of fellow Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane and Graeme Souness.

The Manchester United legend, who retired from football in 2011, signed up as a pundit for Sky Sports ahead of the 2011-12 Premier League season.

Neville initially left his role as a Sky Sports pundit for his ill-fated managerial spell at Valencia, which ended after less than four months in charge of the club.

The 46-year-old returned to the Sky studio for the 2016-17 season, as well as performing pundit duties for ITV at the World Cup and Euros.

FourFourTwo named Neville the best pundit in football right now, saying the former United captain “changed” punditry in England.

The football magazine claimed that “everyone measures up to Neville, these days” and Neville has been at the “forefront of so many iconic moments in football punditry and commentary.”

Emma Hayes finished second in the star-studded list, with the Chelsea Women manager widely praised for her insightful analysis and commentary.

The 45-year-old impressed during her stint as an ITV pundit for Euro 2020 this summer, and Karen Carney revealed the meticulous preparation Hayes puts into the research for her punditry work.

Finishing behind Neville and Hayes in the rankings is Carragher, who has been widely praised for his punditry on Sky Sports.

Carragher, who retired from football in 2013 after 737 appearances with Liverpool, has established a brilliant on-screen dynamic with Neville for Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

FourFourTwo praised the Liverpool legend for being “extremely well-read” and “very articulate,” adding that “Sky would be empty without him.”
