The Top Ten Forwards With Best Goal Per Game Ratio In 2021

The Top Ten Forwards With Best Goal Per Game Ratio In 2021

Several household names feature in the list, which includes goals for clubs and national teams in 2021.

Robert Lewandowski is officially the most prolific forward in European football, with the best goals per game ratio of players in the top five leagues in Europe.

The Bayern Munich and Poland hitman has struck 48 goals for club and country in 2021, continuing his fine form from 2020 where many felt he was the main candidate for the Ballon d'Or award that was controversially nixed.

His goals per game ratio is an impressive 1.26, just ahead of fellow Bundesliga goal machine Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian has 37 goals in 2021, which means he is averaging a goal a game according to data from Transfer Markt.

Lionel Messi is yet to find the net for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue One but he occupies third spot on the list with a goals per game ratio of 0.86.

The 34-year-old has 31 goals in this calendar year and is expected to win an unprecedented seventh Ballon d'Or following his heroics at the Copa America with Argentina in the summer.

Karim Benzema has been in the form of his life, with 33 goals for Real Madrid and France as we move towards November - giving him a goals per game ratio of 0.77 - while Mo Salah comes in fifth with 30 goals and 0.75 goals per game ratio after a ridiculous ruthless streak.

Cristiano Ronaldo likely won't be best pleased to read that he is down in seventh, with 31 goals (0.70 goals per game).

Incredibly, Ronaldo blocked the website on Instagram when they dropped his price valuation.

He was given a valuation of £67.5 million - a drop from the £88 million Juventus paid to sign him from Real Madrid in 2018 - and was clearly furious.

Harry Kane has found the net 28 times for Spurs and England - giving him a goals per ratio of 0.62 and placing him in ninth.
