Todd Boehly to sell three Chelsea flops to ‘end player power’ at the club

Todd Boehly to sell three Chelsea flops to ‘end player power’ at the club

Three Underperforming Chelsea stars could be on their way out after poor results.

Chelsea have spent well over £300 million alone this season. They are out of both national cup competitions, and sit tenth in the table with them winning two out of their last 10 games in all competitions.

It'll come as no surprise then that owner Todd Boehly wants to clear out some of the club's deadwood which has been underwhelming for a number of years now.

This decision may have come after Blues fans were heard chanting the name of their previous Russian owner Roman Abramovich for the second game in a row.

The three players who have been highlighted as dead weight are Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and midfielder Hakim Ziyech,

The trio are seen as some of the most underwhelming players at the club, despite signing in recent years for a combined total of nearly £130 million.

Player's such as Havertz who have failed to impress not only fans but three successive managers are under major threat as the American owner wants to bring in younger, more aspirational prospects.

Boehly has already splashed the cash on the likes of Andrey Santos, Joao Felix, David Fofana and Benoit Badiashile this month whilst talks with PSV Eindhoven over the potential £30 million signing of Noni Madueke are ongoing.

Aubameyang was on the bench against Fulham when his side visited Craven Park recently and despite his team desperately needing a goal, he never got a chance to prove himself against the Whites.

Ex Arsenal team mate Bernd Leno clearly had something to say to the striker as he was seen whispering in his ear after the game. A move to Fulham could be on the cards for the Chelsea man.

Speaking about Aubameyang, manager Graham Potter added that both Havertz and the ex Arsenal striker are in his plans.

"Yes, he is here. He had a problem with his back after Manchester City. That’s why he was absent against Man City. We just went for Kai [against Fulham]."

Both strikers have been off the mark since signing for the West London side with many fans calling out for another, younger top striker to be signed with the most likely option being French wonderkid Christopher Nkunku.
