Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar Tom Brady both missed out on a place in the top 10 sporting GOATs.

That's according to Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan, who compiled the rankings after Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently won at Super Bowl LV.

Brady, 43, captured his seventh Super Bowl ring as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Morgan lauded the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, who was named Super Bowl MVP for a record fifth time, as a "magnificent athlete with an extraordinary work ethic."

However, the 55-year-old English presenter argued in his Daily Mail column that Brady isn't even the GOAT in NFL, saying that accolade belongs to Joe Montana.

Morgan revealed that his top 10 have "eclipsed him [Brady] when it comes to dominance at their sport or pure genius."

Messi, who is widely regarded by many as the best player in football history, missed out in Morgan's rankings to fierce rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Morgan admitted that Messi was in contention for GOAT status alongside the likes of Pele, Diego Maradona and George Best.

But the ex-Daily Mirror editor said that Juventus superstar Ronaldo is "above them all."

Morgan added: "A supreme athlete and phenomenal competitor, who has won trophies in four different countries, Cristiano is the best real footballer to ever lace his boots."

Posted below are Morgan's top 10 picks for sporting GOATs.
