Tottenham Agree Bargain Fee For Brighton Midfielder Yves Bissouma

Tottenham Agree Bargain Fee For Brighton Midfielder Yves Bissouma

Antonio Conte's side are making real moves in the transfer window.

Spurs are not messing around in this summer's transfer window.

Following the recent additions of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, the Premier League side have reportedly agreed a £25 million fee with Brighton & Hove Albion for midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The 25-year-old Mali international, who has impressed since arriving on the south coast from Lille in 2018, has been tracked by a number of clubs following his breakthrough in England.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move, as have Manchester United, but it appears Spurs will get their man, with The Times reporting that Bissouma will have his medical in North London this week.

It is suggested that personal terms have yet to be agreed, but the club do not see it as a stumbling block.

Bissouma was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in a seafront night club in Brighton last year and is currently awaiting the outcome of an ongoing police investigation.

Here's how social media reacted to the news.

Spurs have been linked with a host of transfers this summer, including full-back Djed Spence.

The Premier League side have reportedly agreed a £20 million deal with Middlesbrough to sign the talented 21-year-old, according to The Guardian.

Spence, who made 50 appearances for Nottingham Forest last season, helped Steve Cooper's side achieve Premier League promotion with some solid defensive performances.

Other names being linked with a move to Spurs include Nordi Mukiele, Alessandro Bastoni and Christian Eriksen, who spent seven years with the North London club before joining Inter Milan in 2020.

Tottenham are said to be 'quietly confident' of landing Eriksen as a free agent, according to The Times.

Thoughts on Spurs potentially snapping up Yves Bissouma for a reported £25 million?
