Tottenham Hotspur were booed off the pitch by their own fans after crashing out of the Champions League against AC Milan.
Heading into Wednesday nightβs second-leg tie at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Spurs knew they had work to do after they were defeated 1-0 at the San Siro.
In what couldβve been a magical European night in North London, it turned out to be a bitterly disappointing night for Antonio Conteβs men.
Throughout the match, Spurs failed to create any huge chances to trouble the Milan back line, the likes of Hueng Min Son and Harry Kane were largely kept quiet.

In the second half, things went from bad to worse for Spurs as central defender Romero was sent off for a second bookable offence after a rash challenge on Theo Hernandez.
Referee Clement Turpin showed the Argentina defender a second yellow and Spurs had to see out the match with 10 men.
Deep into extra time, Spurs had their best chance of the night but Kane saw his header saved by Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Former Liverpool man Divock Origi then had the chance to seal the game for the Serie A side but only managed to hit the post when one on one with Spurs stopper Fraser Forster.
Milan eventually held on to the 0-0 draw and confirmed their place in the last eight by winning 1-0 on aggregate.

As the full-time whistle sounded, Spurs players were booed off by their disgruntled fans, who have had to endure the disappointing performance from their team.
After their Champions League exit, all of Spurs' hopes for a trophy have gone up in smoke. With their only target now being to secure a place in the competition for next season.
Conte's men are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table but will have the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle, Brighton and Brentford hot on their heels.
Can Spurs finish the season strongly and secure a top four finish? Only time will tell.
