Sky Sports reporter provides Harry Kane update after airport U-turn with Tottenham stance made clear

Harry Kane DOES have permission to fly to Munich.

Tottenham have APPROVED Harry Kane's flight to Germany ahead of his proposed transfer to Bayern Munich.

Kane accepted Bayern's offer after the Bundesliga champions and Spurs agreed a deal.

However, the move was thrown into doubt after the Premier League side's last-minute U-turn.

The star forward was being driven to Stansted airport this morning when he was told NOT to board the flight.

He turned back and stayed at a family home near the airport as he waited for permission to travel to Munich.

There had been suggestions Spurs were trying to make last-minute changes to the deal, but the club claims their agreement with Bayern remains in place and has not changed.

But Spurs have told Sky Sports News that Kane does have permission to fly to Munich to complete his medical and sign his four-year deal.

There seems to be confusion over the flight, though. German journalist Maximilian Koch claims there are no flights from London to Oberpfaffenhofen (just outside Munich) planned for the rest of the day.

Flight tracker FlightRadar24 shows the scheduled flight in question has actually been cancelled.

But if the deal is completed in time, then the England international could make his debut on Saturday when Bayern face RB Leizpig in the DFL-Supercup.

Kane, who has just a year left on his current contract, is Spurs' all-time record goal-scorer with an impressive 280 goals to his name for the club.

Last season, he bagged 30 league goals as he enjoyed yet another prolific campaign.
