Video Of Raheem Sterling Asking His New Chelsea Teammate What Position He Plays Goes Viral

It's got Chelsea fans talking online.

A video of Raheem Sterling asking his new Chelsea teammate Malang Sarr what position he plays has gone viral.

Sterling has joined the Chelsea team in USA for the club's pre-season tour following his £47.5 million move from Manchester City

The Blues are currently based in Los Angeles, California, ahead of their fixture against Club America on Sunday.

The England international has been getting to know his new teammates, including Sarr whose exchange with the player has been captured on video.

As both players walked to the LA Dodgers Stadium, Sterling can he heard asking Sarr: "You actually a centre half or a left back?"

Sarr replied: "Centre back."

The conversation between Sterling and Sarr sent social media wild.

One joked: "1 training session and he's asking man what the hell are you he's missing playing with ballers already."

A second wrote: "Nahhhhh man said 'what even are you.'"

A third added: "He saw man get burned by Nketiah he had to verify."

However, some fans online reckon the question was taken out of context.

One Twitter user argued: "Sarr has been judged so cruelly by Chelsea fans for his performances on the left. I think Sterling's question reminds everyone of his preferred position, and that he has been decent when he played CB."

Another commented: "I see people are taking this question out of context. Sarr played as CB, LB and LCB for us last season. It’s not out of place for a new player in the team to ask about his actual position."

The 23-year-old French defender played 21 games across all competitions last season following a loan spell at Porto.

Despite the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer, Sarr will likely play second fiddle with Chelsea in talks to sign Kalidou Koulibaly.
