Vinicius Junior slow motion take on of Ronald Araujo is a piece of art

Vinicius Junior produced one of the most aesthetically pleasing pieces of skill to leave Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo in his dust.

It was certainly a night to remember for Real Madrid on Wednesday, as they went into the Copa del Rey semi-final against their fiercest rivals with a one goal deficit.

Having lost the first leg at the Bernabeu, Carlo Ancelotti's side had subsequently lost a league game to Barcelona as well, basically handing their rivals the league title.

Los Blancos knew they would need a big night to overturn the aggregate scoreline in the Nou Camp, and earn a date with Osasuna in the final.

In typical fashion, as if it were one of their recent Champions League knockout wins, Real certainly delivered what was asked of them.

Karim Benzema's second hat-trick in a matter of days, both whilst observing Ramadan and not eating during daylight hours, earned Real their place in the final.

However, it was Vinicius who opened the scoring, in injury time at the end of the first half, and it wasn't his only moment of magic.

Late in the game, with the tie won, the Brazilian tricked and flicked his way past Barca star Araujo, in one of the most artistically pleasing slow motion pieces of skill you're likely to see.

To borrow a quote from Arsene Wenger, talking about the moment that he took on Zinedine Zidane, "First I went left, he did too. Then I went right and he did too. Then I went left again and he went to buy a hot dog."

Araujo wasn't too impressed with Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho recently, bringing up his problem months after the sides faced in the Europa League.

But the Uruguayan didn't have to wait quite so long to show his frustrations at Vinicius' 'disrespect' on Wednesday night, confronting his opponent straight away.

The right back managed to pick up a yellow card, when he reacted to being beaten by the Brazilian by shoving him to the ground.

It really was an eventful night for the 22-year-old, who was also involved with an ongoing battle with Barca midfielder Gavi, the angriest teenager in football.

However, it will be no skin off his nose, or the noses of his teammates, as they head to the cup final in May, and are still eyeing up another Champions League title.
