Viral Video Shows Why Lionel Messi Should Be Studied In Schools, His Footballing IQ Is Different

A video of Lionel Messi's innate playmaking abilities has gone viral, suggesting that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner should be studied in schools.

The Argentine ace has scored over 700 goals for club and country in an incredible career at the top level but arguably the most aesthetically pleasing feature of his game is his penetrating passing.

Excluding club friendlies, Messi has a ridiculous 331 assists and should have really had a lot more given the volume of chances he has created.

For years now the 34-year-old has been a master of producing insane defence-splitting passes, seeing things that no other players see.

Messi makes the difficult passes look easy, with his footballing intelligence on a completely different level.

And Twitter user has @Blue_Nada10 gone viral by sharing a 56 second clip of Messi magic - coming to the conclusion that his brilliance must be on the school curriculum.

The inch-perfect timing of the passes and knowing exactly where his teammate will be is a simply a gift.

In fact, Messi's on-pitch IQ is so high that he regularly destroys opponents with deft dummies that lead to the ball going right to a colleague. Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez know all about that.

He's also mastered the little offside hack in standing offside, letting the ball run to a teammate who is onside and then getting back in for the second phase himself.

If you play with Messi and make a run in behind, he will always find you - such is the quality of his delivery.

In Messi's last outing, he bagged all FIVE goals in Argentina's rout against Estonia in a stunning display.

But while all the focus was understandably on his exploits in front of goal, Messi also had fans in awe with one particular piece of play.

In one swift move from a throw-in, he completely killed Estonia's press with a cross-field switch of play that only he would attempt and execute so perfectly.

The most complete player ever? It's hard to argue.
