Arsenal technical director Edu has appeared to mock Manchester United legend Paul Scholes after his daughter posted a video of him ‘stroking’ and ‘sniffing’ her feet.
Scholes recently went viral after his daughter, Alicia, shared a bizarre video on her Instagram Story of him chewing on her toenails.
Alicia captioned the video ‘true love,’ with bemused fans sharing the now-viral clip across Twitter and other social media platforms.

Edu has hilariously followed in the footsteps (no pun intended) of Scholes by showing his ‘affection’ to his daughter’s feet.
Maria Eduarda Gaspar uploaded clips to her Instagram Story (posted below) of her father sniffing her feet and breathing in the smell before breaking out into laughter.
Edu’s daughter is sitting at the end of the bed and her father continues to stroke and smell her feet while interacting with wife Paula Gaspar.
Both Maria and Edu can be heard laughing in the final clip, with the Arsenal technical director rolling away from the camera in stitches.

The video of Maria and Edu, much like Scholes and Alicia, has started to make the rounds on social media.

Someone else posted: “He was either mocking Scholes or pulling a Scholes.”
While a third tweeted: “He's taking the p**s out of Scholes.”
A fourth Twitter user pointed out: “Watch the story. Clearly he’s trolling. FS. [Haha].”
And a fifth added: “Have you not seen [the] Scholes video? Clearly taking the p**s [out of] him.”
Edu, who spent four seasons at Arsenal, was appointed the Premier League club’s first technical director in 2019.

The 43-year-old Brazilian came under significant criticism in the summer over Arsenal’s transfer window business, despite the club splashing out over £150m on signings.
Edu staunchly defended the Gunners’ transfer window after Arsenal’s poor start to the season.
The Arsenal technical director insisted that it “doesn't make sense” to sign another player in a position where Gunners manager Mikel Arteta didn’t need them.
Arteta’s men have built momentum since the start of their campaign and are 10th in the Premier League table, with the Gunners three points adrift from the top four.
