When A Smoking 'Child' Football Fan Fooled Everyone

Two and a half years ago a fan caused worry in a crowd, when it looked like a child was smoking during Burasapor's game with Fenerbahce, but it wasn't the case.

In September 2019 fans were shocked when the cameras panned to the crowd and showed two kids sat next to each other enjoying the match.

That's not particularly interesting but the sight of one of the 'children' with a cig in mouth caused a stir on social media, with the 'kid' looking like he was in his pre teen years.

However there was a huge plot twist when it turned out that the smoking fan was actually 36-years-old, and the child next to him was his son.

It took everyone by surprise and we're in doubt that it's the same when this fella goes to by his cigarettes, or alcohol, and ends up getting ID'd.

In fact he looks so young that any security would just laugh at him first and then not even believe that his age was correct on his ID.

Obviously the video became a lot less concerning once we knew he wasn't too far off 40 but smoking in public places, including sports stadiums, is banned in Turkey and can carry a £13 fine, admittedly not a huge amount.

David Moyes and West Ham will be wishing that the craziness of their fans had remained contained in the stands, rather than spilling out onto the stadium.

On Thursday night the Hammers were playing Lyon in the Europa League quarter final, their chances weren't helped by a controversial sending off, when Moussa Dembele was fouled and then gave a cheeky wink.

However they did pretty well with 10 men for the whole of the second half, and Jarrod Bowen's goal opened the scoring, before Tanguay Ndombele equalised.

Whilst they did have to soak up plenty of pressure, the Premier League side actually had a decent attacking chance ruined in the most bizarre way possible.

The English team were on a counter attack when Pablo Fornals turned to play the ball to the right, only to see a fan running onto the pitch and having to be stopped, with the referee blowing the whistle.

They'll be hoping that doesn't come back to bite them where it hurts, they'll be a lot of stressed fans turning to smoking soon enough.
