Cheltenham Festival Day Two - Tips, Insight & Previews

We've teamed up with Paddy Power to preview all of the action on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival...

After an enthralling opening day of the Cheltenham Festival we're back and ready to do it all over again. The opening day saw a blend of big-priced outsiders like Put The Kettle On (16/1) in the Arkle as well as well-backed favourites such as Epatante (3/1) who we tipped up in the Champion Hurdle.

Paddy Power are offering you your MONEY BACK if your horse comes 2nd, 3rd or 4th on Day 2 of Cheltenham Festival in the opening Ballymore Novices Hurdle race.

13:30 - Ballymore Novices Hurdle

The opening race on Day Two of the Cheltenham Festival sees the unbeaten ENVOI ALLEN at the head of the market with many wondering just how good this horse could be. He's won every race in his career so far with the mime of fuss and it's no surprise to see why so many think he could be the second coming!

ODDSbible Tip - Envoi Allen 4/5

14:10 - RSA Chase

Next up is the RSA Chase and it looks a very open field with many contenders this year looking to have a strong chance. Champ, Copperhead and Allaho are all well fancied in the market but our money's on MINELLA INDO. He deserves the utmost respect after winning the Albert Bartlett here last year. He had a morale-boosting victory at Navan in January having found Laurina too quick over an inadequate trip on his chasing bow and is another who is still improving.

ODDSbible Tip - Minella Indo 3/1

14:50 - Coral Cup

As ever the Coral Cup is a wide-open affair with plenty of runners in with a chance. We're siding with DAME DE COMPAGNIE who will be ridden by Barry Geraghty and trained by Nicky Henderson in the colours of JP McManus. This was the same combination that teamed up impressively to win the Champion Hurdle on Day One with high quality mare Epatante and we're hoping for a repeat performance on Day Two.

ODDSbible Tip - Dame De Compagnie 8/1

15:30 - Champion Chase

The feature race on Day Two is the Queen Mother Champion Chase where the reigning champion Altior won't be able to defend his crown after unfortunately suffering a setback earlier in the week. However we're still set to see a cracking match-up between Willie Mullins' charge Chacun Pour Soi and Phillip Hobbs' DEFI DU SEUIL. Defi won the Clarence House Chase at Ascot back in January betting legendary horse Un De Sceaux by 2 & 3/4 lengths and we're sweet on his chances in the feature race.

ODDSbible Tip - Defi Du Seuil 11/10

16:10 - Cross Country Chase

Next up is the Cross Country Chase where two-time Grand National king TIGER ROLL will go off a short-priced favourite on Wednesday afternoon. Even though there are 32 varied obstacles to negotiate, Gordon Elliott's remarkable 10-year-old can win at The Festival for a fifth time before heading off to Aintree again.

ODDSbible Tip - Tiger Roll 10/11

16:50 - Juvenile Handicap Hurdle

The penultimate race of the day sees a number of contenders lining up in an intriguing handicap. There's a number with realistic chances including Mick Pastor, Tronador, Palladium and Blacko but we're sweet on the chances of ARAMAX. He was a winner on his last outing at Naas and we're hoping that he does the business at Prestbury Park,

ODDSbible Tip - Aramax 7/1

17:30 - Champion Bumper

The final race on Day Two is the Champion Bumper where a host of young horses look to make their mark and replicate what Envoi Allen did last year in winning the race before going onto bigger and better things. We're siding with the favourite APPRECIATE IT who beat Risk Factor by 8 lengths on his most recent appearance in a flat race at Leopardstown last month to hopefully cap off a fine day at the Cheltenham Festival.

ODDSbible Tip - Appreciate It 15/8
