Nate Diaz Hints At Jake Paul Fight And Demands UFC Release Him In Bizarre Tweet

Nate Diaz has taken to social media to call out the UFC, demanding he either be given a fight soon or to be released.

But in a bizarre turn, Diaz also hinted at his potential next move by accompanying his tweet with a video of Jake Paul knocking out Tyron Woodley.

Strange, very strange.

He tweeted: "UFC release [me] now please or give me fight with anyone in July or August. I have bigger s**t to do."

The post also included the viral clip of YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul KO'ing former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

Is that "bigger s**t to do" a boxing match against Paul?

Or is it actually a fight with Woodley?

At this point, who knows, but the wild statement seems to have gotten the mixed martial arts community talking.

The tweet itself racked up over 1000 likes in less than 10 minutes and MMA fans flocked to the comments section the debate what on earth Nate is talking about.

Some suspected that the video was actually an accident, while others reacted by posting pictures of either Paul or Woodley.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that 36-year-old Diaz has publicly requested a release from his contract with the promotion.

Back in March, he tweeted: "I would like to request to be released from the [UFC].

"I apologise for asking online but [you] don't give me a fight [ASAP] I've got s**t to do."

He also tagged UFC president Dana White, the UFC's chief business officer Hunter Campbell as well as the UFC's official Twitter account.

Just a few days prior, he tweeted: "Been trying to fight for [seven] months."

MMA fan favourite Diaz is on the final fight of his contract but it's understood the UFC are intending to keep him in the promotion.

In the meantime, Diaz has expressed his interest in remaining active ever since his decision defeat at the hands of Leon Edwards.

A number of fighters' names have been thrown in the hat, including Dustin Poirier and even Tony Ferguson.

But one potential match-up which had UFC die-hards salivating was a proposed bout between Diaz and rising star Khamzat Chimaev.

According to reports, Diaz politely declined, telling TMZ: "Don't disrespect me like that, trying to offer me a fight with a rookie."
