Conor McGregor Accused Of Ducking 'The Biggest Fight In UFC History'

Conor McGregor Accused Of Ducking 'The Biggest Fight In UFC History'

"The UFC has offered him this fight..."

Conor McGregor has been sensationally accused of ducking 'the biggest fight in UFC history'.

The 33-year-old appears to be closing in on his return, having recovered from his leg break suffered in his last fight.

He's eyeing the likes of UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira and UFC welterweight king Kamaru Usman.

But the 'Notorious' has apparently turned down a potential showdown against Jorge Masvidal

According to the man himself, it's already been offered to the Irishman ahead of his Octagon return.

'Gamebred' claims McGregor is using his name to stay 'relevant' and believes he'd 'beat the f**k out of him'.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, he said: "He wants to stay relevant so he takes shots, but he’s not going to fight. The UFC has offered him this fight, as you and me both know this could be the biggest fight in UFC history, why would he not want to cash in on that paycheck?

"Because he knows I’m going to beat the f**k out of him. I’m not a wrestler so if I beat him it really looks bad for his brand because I’m only going to beat him only way, f**king in his face, standing up, punching him, knocking his ass out. It’s not going to be good for the Conor brand or his cheap ass whiskey.

"So that little b**ch has to do what he has to do and take to Twitter and talk shit, but when they offer him the contract he says stupid f**king things that can’t happen."

Masvidal insists he won't be boiling himself down to lightweight, saying McGregor has previously competed at welterweight.

"He wants me to go down to 155, for starters," he added. "I’m not going to go down to 155 for this cocksucker, you’ve fought at 170, why am I going down to 155?

"I haven’t been in that weight class for five, six years I can’t physically make it anywhere.

"Dana White called it a long ass time ago, I’m too much man, too much size as Dana says and it’s stuck with him.

"At the same time, he can’t do anything about it."

Masvidal, 37, hasn't won a UFC fight since November 2019. He's on a three-fight losing skid, having lost to Usman for the title twice and Colby Covington in his most recent appearance.

As for McGregor, he's also on a losing streak - picking up his last win inside the Octagon against Donald Cerrone in January 2020.
