Conor McGregor gives praise to Zion Clark, the MMA fighter with no legs, he's a huge fan

Zion Clark, a wrestler born without legs, made many a fan after his MMA debut over the weekend.

But perhaps his biggest and most notable supporter is one certain Irishman.

Clark took out a victory in his MMA debut, with the highlights of his bout showing how seriously impressive he is as an athlete.

And he certainly caught the attention of the one and only Conor McGregor.

The UFC star took to Twitter to congratulate the 25-year-old and even lauded how difficult it would be for any fighter to go up against him.

McGregor tweeted: “Absolutely fascinating to hear about this man’s debut and now see it. Lighting entry on the low single. Wow!

“You should not connect to him in any shape or form. Frames only. Frame to strike. Fascinating!

“Congrats and so much respect to that man Zion Clark! MMA is the best sport!”

The former UFC double champion attempted to proposition some sort of tactic to go up against Clark, but even then claimed that ‘very few on the planet’ would possess such skill.

He added: “Can’t kick as he is grounded opponent. The only way to stop him is to develop KO-ending shots mid-transitions in grappling. Very few on the planet possess this skill.

“And to 3/4 way downward punch a jab there is just no power. Look at opponent's attempt before the shot. Wild!”

Clark has no legs due to caudal regression syndrome, a condition which prevents the development of the lower end of the spine.

It didn't stop him from putting in a performance worthy of winning any fight.

Despite the clear size disadvantage, Clark managed to use his athleticism to evade Murray and his wrestling skill to take him down to the mat.

McGregor certainly was right to praise him.

And Clark responded with thanks for the support while also outlining his goals in the sport.

He tweeted: “Appreciate the love and respect [Conor] this is just the start for me I’m excited to see how far I can take my fight game!

“I proved the doubters wrong in wrestling becoming an All-American and D1 Wrestler. All respect.”

The Irish fighter responded: “Absolutely legendary!”

McGregor cheekily tagged the UFC as well.

Go on Dana, give Clark a contract.
